Description Engraved Abstinence Society Medal. One side reads "The bearer of this Medal is a member of the total Abstinence Society." The other side has a figure of a man labelled "Thomas" about to drink from a bucket from a well. Inscription reads "How sweet from the green, mossy brim to receive it" and "As poised on the curb it inclined to my lips." Original green cardboard case of medal (2014.6b).
