Admin/Biographical History Marcellus Littlefield was born on March 13, 1847, the son of Joshua E. and Czarina (Wood) Littlefield. One of four children, the family lived on Prospect Street in Woburn. He served in the Woburn Mechanic Phalanx (Fifth Massachusetts Regiment Company G), was promoted to First Lieutenant, and was an active member after his service. He was a past Noble Grand of the Crystal Fount Lodge, International Order of Freemasons and a member of the Sons of the Revolution. His great grand-father was Sylvanus Wood who reportedly captured the first British soldier during the Battle of Lexington and Concord and went on to serve with General Washington. He married Mary Isabelle Warren on October 20, 1869. He passed away on October 14, 1923 at the age of 77.
