Admin/Biographical History Cyrus Thompson, of Woburn, Massachusetts, was born on March 10, 1793. He was the sixth of eleven children of Jonathan Thompson and Mary Richardson, who were married on April 26, 1760. Cyrus married Abigail Noble of Stoneham, MA on December 26, 1816 and they had three children, Cyrus Augustus, Jonathan and Samuel. Living in Woburn throughout his life, in his earlier years he was employed as a shoe manufacturer, later becoming better known as a surveyor. He served as a justice of the peace, a member of the school board and was on the board of selectmen for several years. He died on April 26, 1873.
