Admin/Biographical History Incorporated on March 5, 1830 with Jonathan B. Winn as President and John Johnson as Secretary, the Woburn Agricultural and Mechanic Association was formed as a benefit society to assist members to save their funds, to encourage industry and prudence, to lessen expenses, and to provide for their future support. The association consisted of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, a board of directors and a board of auditors who were chosen annually, by the members, by ballot.
Scope & Content Volume 1 contains directors reports and annual meeting reports, 1830-1874. Volume 2 contains the association's articles of incorporation and auditor's annual reports, 1830-1891.
