Admin/Biographical History The Woburn Musical Association was formed in Woburn in October, 1854. The object of the association was "the improvement of its members in vocal music, both Sacred and Secular, and the cultivation of a higher degree of musical knowledge, and the diffusion of a more correct musical taste in the community." The founding members were George M. Champney, John A. Gould and John D. Tidd.
